Announcing the 2017 Para-Equestrian Dressage Calendar and FEI Grade Name Changes and Tests

October 21, 2016 – Following an exciting 2016 Rio Paralympics for the United States, the U.S. Para-Equestrian Dressage riders are looking forward to 2017. The FEI recently announced changes to the Para-Dressage Grade names in addition to new FEI Para-Equestrian Dressage Tests. The United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) has announced the 2017 Para-Dressage Calendar, making 2017 an exciting year. The show season begins with a CPEDI3* in Wellington, FL, January 19 – 22, 2017; followed by an additional CPEDI3* in Wellington, FL, March 9-12, 2017; then the CPEDI3* in Rancho Murieta, CA, June 15-18, 2017; and finally the USEF Para Equestrian Dressage National Championship Sponsored by Deloitte September 14-17, 2017. The new Para-Dressage Grade names will not change a riders classification they are strictly name changes. Grade 1a is now Grade 1; Grade 1b is now called Grade 2; Grade II is Grade 3; Grade III is Grade 4; Grade IV is Grade 5; and Grade V is Grade 6.
