Horse Radio Network Features USEF Sport Director Will Connell and PATH International CEO Kathy Alm
Jupiter, FL –September 10, 2015- Horse Radio Network’s once-a-month Para-Equestrian Show featured USEF’s Mark Coley and Adequan®’s Allyn Mann with hosts Lindsay McCall and Regina Cristo.
About Will Connell: From October 2003 to September 2014, Will Connell served as the British Equestrian Federation (BEF) Performance Director with responsibility for the coordination and delivery of the UK Sport funded World Class Programme for the disciplines of eventing, dressage, jumping, and para-equestrian dressage. This role encompassed the development and delivery of programs targeted at winning medals in the present and in the future. Will was also the Equestrian Chef de Mission at the Athens 2004, Beijing 2008 and London 2012 Olympic & Paralympic Games and the 2006 Aachen, 2006 Lexington and 2014 Normandie World Equestrian Games. In 2012 and 2014, Great Britain headed the Equestrian Medal Table.
Will has a lifelong involvement in equestrian sport and prior to the BEF he served 17 years as a Commissioned Officer in the Royal Artillery and Royal Horse Artillery (RHA) and was Commanding Officer of the King’s Troop RHA (a Ceremonial Unit based in London that has 160 horses and is responsible for firing Royal Salutes and famous for its Musical Drive). He was Chef d’Equipe for the British Young Rider Eventing team from 1997 to 2001; served as a British Eventing Steward; and is Deputy Equestrian Director of Olympia, The London International Horse Show. In October 2014, Will took up his new role as Sport Director with the U.S. Equestrian Federation: Will is responsible for the administration and development of all aspects of sport programming across the eight international disciplines, nine national disciplines, and eleven breeds recognized by the USEF. His aim is to develop and implement strategic programs that look 4 and 8 years in to the future whilst also developing links with the Affiliates that map out clear roles and responsibilities.
Will enjoys, good food, good wine and travel (with the aforementioned prerequisites). Will used to fox hunt having grown up in the midlands of England and still enjoys shooting. He lives in Gladstone, NJ.
About Kathy Alm: Kathy Alm took the reins as PATH Intl. CEO in August of 2014. Alm brings to PATH Intl. proven strategic leadership, having spent the last 25 years transforming organizations, guiding their respective boards, staff, donors and volunteers to the realization of their visions. For the last 15 years she served as Executive Director of Little Bit Therapeutic Riding Center in Woodinville, WA, one of the largest organizations in the industry. She grew the previously grass roots organization from a $280,000 annual operating budget to a professional $2.1 million organization, leading a staff of 23 full-time employees and building and operating a new $11 million facility.

Once a month the Dressage Radio Show becomes the Para-Equestrian Show Hosted by Lindsay McCall, of the United States Para-Equestrian Association, focusing on international FEI discipline Para-Dressage. Although Para-Dressage is the main event, listeners have the opportunity to learn more about the skillful U.S. Para-Driving Team, the Para-Reining discipline, Para-Vaulting, and the future of Para-Jumping. The para-equestrian dressage show will feature a line-up of guests including olympians, paralympians, trainers, coaches, professionals, amateur riders, young riders, and equine enthusiasts. The intention of the radio show is to educate, inform, and entertain listeners on the para-equestrian Dressage discipline.
