Rebecca Hart noted, “We had a great first weekend back at Global with Tex. He hasn’t shown in the stadium since the COVID shutdown last March and he put in a beautiful test for a 75.7%. Jennifer Baumert has come on as coach for me and it’s been such a wonderful experience to have her join my team. She has so much enthusiasm for para sport and has really jumped in full force. We’ve spent a lot of time evaluating my training program, watching the top European riders, and working with Michel Assouline to get the best performances possible and work toward peaking at the right moment. It’s been so amazing to see how far Para-Dressage has come in the last years. I want to thank all of the amazing people that keep this ball rolling. Rowan O’Riley is the most amazing sponsor and horse owner. She is an integral part of my team and I am eternally grateful for all of the opportunities she has given me. To have someone believe in and invest in you to that degree is such a humbling experience and I am so glad she is with me on this journey. She is a truly remarkable woman.”
Hart added, “I also want to thank Murray Kessler and Perrigo. I loved having his leadership while he was president of USEF and to have him continue that support even after he stepped down is wonderful. He came in at such an important moment for us. I speak on behalf of all of our riders and staff when I say we are grateful for his continued support.”
The future looks bright for U.S. Para-Dressage and the team will be one to watch at the upcoming Paralympics.
